China-Japan Joint Workshop on Flow Dynamics and Transport Phenomena
Hello, This is Kanda,
I attended gChina-Japan Joint Workshop on Flow Dynamics and Transport Phenomenah
and made a presentation, which was held from June 24 to 25 at Tsinghua University
in Beijing, China.
Participants from Our laboratory were Prof. Maruyama, Prof. Komiya and me.
In this workshop, I got so nervous on the real stage of delivering...,
since it was the first time for me to give a presentation in English.
Although I have given presentations on conferences fourth time in Japanese.
After the presentation, I felt frustrated since I got quite nervous,
even many times I practiced my presentation before.
As well as I couldn't answer enough for some questions I have received.
I have just realized again a communication skill in English was important.
I must work hard toward mastering...
After the workshop, we visited one of the laboratories of Tsinghua University.
The experimental laboratory was really really tidy and ordered.
Which made me keenly feel the importance of "well-organized".
Then, we had a valuable time to visit the Forbidden City and taste Chinese cuisine at a restaurant while we were in a free time there.
That was a shame we were not allowed to get into the Forbidden City...
in order to strengthened security.
We were wondering if some very special guests like state guests were coming there just the right time...???)
As we could see German's national flags waving in the area of the Forbidden City
when we just have arrived.
That's the reason we couldn't take pictures inside of the Forbidden City, but in front of its gate.
(Then on our way back to a Hotel, traffic jam caught us .)
They all came to be wonderful memories for me in many ways.
Everything I had was a meaningful experience and I learned a lot from this Workshop.
I would like to say thank you to both Prof. Maruyama and Prof. Komiya to give me what a great opportunity to attend this workshop.
Again, I thought I had a really treasurable time in this trip.
